Hailing from the Columbia River Gorge, Megan Alder is breaking her way into the Portland folk scene. In her music, Megan fearlessly explores her sense of wildness. Performing with raw, uncut emotion, Alder’s music fills a room with liveliness and soul as she expertly navigates centuries of musical tradition.
Influenced by artists like Billie Holiday and Bonnie Raitt, Alder croons tales of sweet romance and bottomless heartbreak. She has won the hearts of music lovers in the Gorge and now tours across the Pacific Northwest performing her music as a solo act or with one of her ensembles.
Her latest release, Quittin' Time, features six original songs recorded live in Portland, OR at Super Secret Studios with Megan Alder and the Woods. Available now at Soundcloud & BandCamp.
