Martha's Freedom

Martha’s Freedom is an indie rock band hailing from the mountains of Western North Carolina.  Their music comes from a passion for exposing the faux world that is painted before us every day by mainstream media, puppet politicians, agenda-influencing celebrities, corrupt educational systems, and sinister religious doctrine.  Having realized as young adults that most people are disturbed by the truth and prefer to simply bury their head in the sand, and in so doing hold fast to a strong desire to silence truth tellers, Martha’s Freedom emerged to trumpet loudly exactly that which sandheads desperately safeguard themselves against.  And MF does so - for the love of mankind.

Their namesake is after their Husky, Martha, who passed away in 2021.  A deep soul who taught them the true meaning of freedom.

The songwriters and founding members of the band are Danny Clayton and Heather Alpine Bech.  As a guitarist, Danny has played in several bands with genre varieties such as college rock, punk, and acoustic folk, and performed in numerous music halls including CBGBs, The Black Cat, and Gramps.  He is also the primary producer and sound engineer for Martha’s Freedom.

Alpine is an award-winning classical pianist with a degree in music and film from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.  She has been the songwriter, keyboardist and vocalist for several math-rock, folk and indie rock bands in California and the Carolinas.

In a world full of bios and stories, MF has come to realize that the most important story is that of human purpose, our creation and the truth regarding the world we were all born into.  After years of deep rabbit hole dives, they came to realize that the essence of God’s Word is the only truth.  But that truth must be searched out - through its original meaning, which today’s popular English translations do not offer.  This discovery brought an end to the mental and emotional anguish that accompanies the profound distress of not knowing one’s roots, let alone believing total lies.  Their goal is to share such truth so others can know it for themselves through their own research and exploration.  An open mind and heart are necessary to undo the lifetime of brainwashing inflicted on every human being.  Music provides one such avenue.
