"Hotter Than The 103 Degree Outside"

Escapism with Marshall Stevens and the Wildcats... Taking in the music scene in Roswell can offer about as much diversion as going out for a cup of yogurt...That is until one discovers the weekend entertainment on the patio at Pepper's Gill and Bar and the innovative sound of Marshall Stevens and the Wildcats. If you haven't taken in the trio before, now's the time to slip in for a front seat vantage point to hear the group's sultry rendition of "Fever". Tunes played, a mix of cover songs and originals run the gambit from soulful rock, country and folk -all in an uptempo , rock-blues format. Songs like "Mustang Sally" have never been so dancible... - Roswell Daily News- The Lowdown

Bio

Started playing at 12. Playing at a local talent contest we (my two buddies and I) got hired to play several high school and Jr. High School Dance gigs. That prompted us to rent a town hall and start promoting dances (see enclosed picture of "The Fugitives"). We were greatly influence (and got superior instruction) from a group of local musicians that were in High School (in a band called Mongrel) in the same city.0

I wrote my first song then (as well) "Dirt in Your Heart" ;-)! My parents really liked it and offered to take me to Nashville. I have a library of over 200 original songs. All of which are stepping stones to my current capabilities as a songwriter.

I've played in Germany, toured the midwest, and opened up for national acts. I have worked as a solo musician, in three piece power rock bands, traditional guitar driven rock bands, performed as a jazz vocalists and done both vocal and guitar work in plays-Jesus Christ Superstar is one example.

Currently, spend my time recording originals to pitch to music library opportunities. Most of my recent work (last three years) is written in the format of what is called "Americana", although I have written a couple of blues/rocks song over the past years. I do work with a small film company and assist with their post production music.

I'm an acoustician, both live and recording engineer, have worked in post production foley for films, teach and tech quitars and own Lenticular Productions a publishing company. I have experience working on Pro Tools, Cubase, Reason, Reaper and Digital Performer.

I perform locally (as a solo artist) and mostly do light rock and jazz covers. I also work with a Lubbock, TX band We play my originals and cover classic rock and new country tunes. Rotating between several clubs in East TX/ Western NM. These gigs keep my quitar playing and vocal work sharp
