We're excited to offer an exclusive new song by interesting new R&B act, LUVKUSH. What originally started as a remix of PARTYNEXTDOOR's 'Persian Rugs' turned into a unique track with an ethnic vibe when producers Vinnyx and CVRE decided to rework the whole song. LUVKUSH has released a few songs via their SoundCloud page, and each leaves you wanting to hear more, and definitely know more about this artist. What we're able to tell you is that they have collaborations with Toronto artists and OVO affiliates SAFE and $ha to look forward to in the near future. Some songs are just meant for zoning out and getting in that laid back vibe. LUVKUSH and NYNE are two fresh r&b artists that are bringing those flavors to the table. “The Name” is that simple, slick r&b track that is just right for a late night. LUVKUSH gives off those Post Malone-esque vocals while NYNE brings another dimension to the song with her more tender, sweet sounds. There seems to be an everlasting trend of artists sealing their information from the public these days, and a prime example of this is California-based duo LUVKUSH. They've had collaborations with acts like Vinnyx and NYNE already, and the two tracks they've released turned out to be big hits. Regardless of the lack of information we have on them, though, the emerging two-piece act is here today to bless us with a brand-new R&B banger entitled "The Name". With just enough use of auto-tune, the vocals give off a chill, Anfa Rose-esque vibe, and with their edgy, hard-hitting production to boot, what results is a haunting, take on R&B that definitely has us hooked. So, while we've just got to know the sound of these two here, the seamless harmony and balance found within this track is truly impressive, and, through the single, they're proving they're a force. - Hilly Dilly
