Bio
Lacire embodies the perfect example of Walt Disney if he were an Alternative Rocker. Her performances express a storyteller’s desire to bring a voice of love and support to those who do not have one.
Lacire inherited her love of the classic rock bands and blues artists from her parents. She combined that with her adoration of musical theatre to create unheard stories just waiting to be told. Her sound blends the harsh bite of rock, the mellow punch of blues’ unreserved emotional expressions, and a pinch of theatre’s unfolding plots. In many ways, Erica’s live performances play out like a concept album; a storyteller narrating the humble tales of a humble girl.
In the small town of Smithville, Tennessee, there were never many options when it came to theatre. It was either band or sports. Being as awkward and uncoordinated as she was (and is) Lacire found a home in band, specifically in the percussion section. Her experience in the band influenced her music to incorporate a wide variety of instrumentation. This can be heard through her original song “No Part of You.”
Lacire has been featured as a guest vocalist with Big Band Sound and the Southern Stars Symphonic Brass as well as performed a xylophone duet for the latter ensemble. She has arranged a handful of stand tunes for her high school marching band and created a few cadences for their drumline. She is in the process of collaborating with other artists in order to release a few original songs and covers.
