"Jack of All Trades"

Jack Of All Trades AKA Kyle Douglas

Kyle Douglas Review

Kentucky’s Kyle Douglas intertwines a singer-songwriter vibe that has a rock soul with a Country boy heart. You can hear a bit of grit as he delivers a powerful acoustic performance of “Hold On Me.” In what is possibly the coolest thing you’ll hear in a while is his cover of the hip hop classic “No Diggity” made famous in the ‘90s by Blackstreet. It’s not every day you hear Country take on rhymes like this. He totally transforms it and it’d be something interesting that would kill on shows like “The Voice.” It’s familiar but totally flipped on its side. Lastly we get a true blue Country gem with “Go.” It has that storyteller feel and also doesn’t give you anything but that Country boy mentality. So when it comes to Kyle Douglas you have a rocker who can bust out a rhyme when the time’s right, but can stay true to his roots and sound like a Nashville star. He’s a jack of all trades that goes by the name of Kyle Douglas. Check out this guy ASAP, that’s an order. (http://kyledouglasmusic.com/) - Indie Music Reviews

KYLE DOUGLAS BAND TO TOUR KENTUCKY OVER SUMMER 2015

Reaching Out To Fans Both Old And New

Prestonsburg, Kentucky, United States of America– May 20th, 2015 – Kyle Douglas, salesman turned musician, is a dazzling stage presence who puts his heart and soul into his performances—and it shows.

His debut album Clean Hands came out in Fall 2014 and has seen the Kentucky native reach much acclaim and vastly expand his fan base.

“My long-term goal is to write and perform music until the day I leave this earth,” said Douglas today. “I am a natural born lyricist and songwriter. I’m stuck with the bug and eat, sleep and breathe it 24/7! It’s what I was put on this earth to do and I want to inspire people with my music and its positive message!”

The Kyle Douglas Band will be playing festivals in Kentucky this summer 2015, including Kickoff (May 23rd, Salyersville), Independence Day (July 4th, Jackson), Septemberfest (September 11thLouisa) and Apple Day (October 3rd, Paintsville), bringing the band’s performing total to over 300 shows with a hope to tour nationally in 2016.

Clean Hands is available for download on iTunes.

Bio

Straight out of Prestonsburg, Kentucky, an award winning Nashville recording artist, songwriter, and crossover country-rock singer, Kyle Douglas is the first artist to come out of Kentucky to have tracks played on Country, Rock, Pop, and Contemporary Christian radio stations. The fall 2014 release of his Nation-Wide Debut EP Album titled “Clean Hands” is now available and getting RAV reviews. “Clean Hands” hardcopies are available for purchase and digital copies can be found on iTunes, Spotify, Amazon.com, and Google Play.

Kyle Douglas left his daytime job as a salesman and began his musical career after winning first place in a showcase contest at Tootsies in Nashville. Shortly after catching attention by various record labels and business execs Kyle teamed up with Producers and two-time Grammy Award winner Rebecca Lynn Howard and her husband Elisha Hoffman, who is best known for writing Faith Hill’s cut of  “Give in to Me” for the soundtrack album of the major motion picture Country Strong.

Kyle Douglas “Clean Hands” is a perfectly named, well-conceived album that portrays his own evolution toward personal, creative freedom. The idea behind “Clean Hands”  in other words “being free from unfair conduct, living  the right kind of lifestyle, and spreading a positive  message.” Coal miners, auto mechanics, farmers, and in many other fields of work where getting your hands a little dirty is inevitable, they still continue to live clean lifestyles.

Kyle Douglas curtain opener single “Go” is playing in daily rotation on radio stations in 7 states and the music video reached 3,000 views in one week. He is doing co-writes all over town in Nashville working alongside very accomplished songwriters in the industry such as Chris Stapleton, Ken Johnson, and Josh Jones. Be sure to catch his live show it’s a real treat!!

Kyle Douglas leads a five-piece band made up of experienced Nashville working musicians that play a real energy filled show. You will notice right away it’s not your typical house band on stage. With a lot of impromptu, when these guys get locked in a groove it is soulful and makes for a very entertaining show. With his hard hitting vocals you can hear the emotion pour out of him.

Kyle is NOT another “bro” sucked into the industry writing empty lyrics. “People want to hear that vulnerability that is what makes a song great, one worth repeating” Kyle says.

“I have spent 12 years of my life bound by the chains of addiction of substance abuse. At one time in my life, I had burnt every bridge and destroyed every relationship with family, friends, and everyone I had come in contact with until there was no one. I was all alone. I know what it’s like to be homeless.  To lose every material possession you once had, and to meet what some would call rock bottom head on with a shovel. I know what it’s like to lose people that never come back. I know what it’s like to live in a hopeless state of mind to where not only death was inevitable, I was inviting it day in and day out. I know what it’s like to live with no meaning or direction in life, with nowhere to go but down to your knees to throw up a sinner’s prayer. It is a miserable existence. I also know what it’s like to bounce back and to pull yourself up out of death’s doorway and to renew a relationship with God and strive to do better. I am a very spiritual person today; it’s the little things I appreciate and pay attention to. Today I have a choice, and I choose to live. Not only do I want to live, I want to live a fulfilling and rewarding life.  To inspire through my actions and the songs I create. “It’s all about the healing and the evolution of getting better”, Kyle says.

Kyle Douglas has traveled to many schools sharing with the students his personal testimony and the importance of good decision making. Using a slogan he created “Right Here Right Now”, the decisions you make today, affect tomorrow and possibly the rest of your life. “You cannot be too young or too old to be reminded of this.” Kyle says.

Kyle Douglas is currently promoting his “Clean Hands” album packing as many radio stations, live shows, and co-writes into his schedule as he can.  Kyle Douglas is a true rising indie artist you should get to know.
