Bio
Kayla is a Pop/Alternative artist who writes songs about the feelings in life that people experience. She became inspired by this approach due to her experience with theater. Since the age of 9, her musical journey began in church where she sang “Greatest Thy Faithfulness.” Since then, she became involved in choir and theater throughout school where she learned how to be expressive through text. She also has gained inspiration from multiple artists including PJ Harvey, Mitski, Fiona Apple, and Snail Mail. Kayla’s debut songs, “Tonight” and “When You Sleep at Night” are songs that will be released by the end of next year that speak to the story she wants to tell. Some notable venues she has performed at are PA Thespians State Conference in York, PA, National Jazz Festival in Philadelphia, and UArts Choral & Acapella Festival.
