Kaitlyn Janes

Kaitlyn Janes, sometimes just KJ, is 100% organic talent, a vibrant, powerful person, and a voice for this generation if she keeps this up. Just watch and listen. Born in Crystal Springs, Florida, grew up “halfway” in nearby Inverness, then after her father’s passing, moved to Jefferson City, Tennessee for the “second half”. She started writing songs in 2006 at age eleven. The late great Selena was some of the first music she remembered, listening to Selena’s music and watching the movie of her life with her mother. Kaitlyn and her two daughters, Lilyann and Azalea, live in that small East Tennessee town. As many singers have done, she first sang in church choir. Kaitlyn’s first solo was at a church camp, and found the particular experience of singing solo helped accelerate the emergence of her expressive and creative self. In other words she got off on it. Kaitlyn Janes is already one of the Great Voices, although yet unacknowledged, and this is just the beginning. “Change” is almost a prayer, sometimes a cry, totally a song of joy, and completely from the heart for the world.
