Joey V a recording artist, producer, songwriter comes from a small town in Tennessee. “Never label me as anything…I’m not like any other human being whether it be mind, body or spirit,” says Joey when asked what genre he best fits in. Joey V is expected to release his EP titled “Kingdom” during January 2016. “Life is a gift, and I choose not to waste mine. God first, family second and nothing in between…that is the key to success,” says Joey V.

Joey V raps over the song with great one-liners effortlessly, but it’s just a small sample of his capabilities.

The beats in Joey V’s catalog are innovative, but they are undeniably hip-hop. He notably runs into a lot of emotions, and lyrically his all over the place about good times and good girls, which seems to work well for him. Joey V is an extremely clever rapper dropping gems that are tailor-made even for casual hip-hop fans. The production is top notch with some songs expertly utilizing some cool collaborations and sample choices. It all blends perfectly into a sound that Joey V has carved out as his own.

With so many great songs it’s hard to pick out a favorite but if I had to then “Lately” is the one. Without getting too long-winded, Joey V delivers the goods with his clever laid back rapping style, vibrant and excellent production, great song concepts and perfect appearances from guests. On the evidence of what I’ve heard, surely his upcoming EP will not be collecting dust when it is released.
