James “Jizzy” McKnight is a talented young artist, born and raised in Jersey City, New Jersey, with ties to Eatontown, New Jersey and Lake City, South Carolina.  Around the tender age of eight, McKnight was drawn to music and began thinking that it was a career worth pursuing.  McKnight says, “My mom and I always used to watch the movie, The Temptations, and I knew I wanted to perform.  I used to watch awards shows, like the BET Awards, and I knew I had to get me one.”  McKnight names 2Pac, Lil’ Wayne, and Sean “Diddy” Combs as his musical influences and uses their work to inspire his own creativity.  He states, “2Pac stood out to me because he was outspoken and always stood solidly behind his beliefs; Lil’ Wayne has an insane work ethic and level of confidence, with the skill to craft dope rhymes within his music; and, Diddy, is the epitome of a successful business man.”   

Jizzy McKnight has worked with Ross Balboa, Nameliss, Al Kayduh, Los Lee, Gully Time, King F, and many more.  McKnight has performed at Stony Pony, Endzone Lounge, Chicos Lounge, Club Allstar, Sherton Hotel-Lincoln Harbor, Tea Bar, Blue Claws Stadium, and Allure Lounge. McKnight has been featured on several blogs and recognized by other artists, including: Garden State Hip-Hop, RAREREBELS.com, Coast to Coast Mixtape, That Splash, and many more. Besides promoting his previously released mixtapes, Welcome to the Town and OBEY Everthing, McKnight is currently working on a solo mixtape that has not been name yet.  He’s also networking and determined to build stronger relationships with other artists.  Jizzy McKnight is focused on making quality music that people can relate to and connect with.
