I, Divine

I, Divine is a progressive, hardcore metal band based out of Newport, TN. The band was started in April of 2015 by all six of the current members and the band name was created to mean, "love ones' self" and that there is a light in each one of us and that we are all "divine." I, Divine is constantly working on new material and improving their stage presence to bring a better experience to their audience. They are currently in the studio working on their first full length album "Dead Kings." The band members consist of two vocalists, lead guitarist, rhythm guitarist, bassist, and drummer. 

Josh Oakes, one of the two vocalists for I, Divine, was born in Morristown, TN. Josh started playing the drums at age 11 and started participating in choir as a high school freshman. He enjoys listening to the bands Linkin Park and Slipknot. 

Taylor Winstead, the second vocalist for the band, was born in Knoxville, TN and has been playing instruments since he was 14. He started leaning towards vocals in 2010. His inspiration comes from the band Architects UK. 

Fenway Sisk, the lead guitarist was born in Morristown, TN. Fenway taught himself to play the guitar in 2001 after his father bought him a guitar and showed him three chords. His favorite band is Parkway Drive but he has a deep love for neoclassical and jazz music. 

Nathan Whited is the rhythm guitarist for I, Divine. He was born in Morristown, TN and has also been playing the guitar since he was 11 years old. He is self taught on guitar. His favorite bands include Slipknot and Lamb of God. 

The bass player, Kyle Rowe was born in Winter Haven, FL and has been playing since he was 11 years old after his brother introduced him to the guitar. Kyle's inspiration comes from Chevelle and Breaking Benjamin and his favorite bands are Chiodos and I See Stars. 

Finally, Chris Eschelbacher, the drummer, was born in Cleveland, Ohio and has been playing the drums for 15 years. His inspiration for drums came from Danny Carey. His favorite bands include Born of Osiris, Periphery, and Emmure. 

I, Divine loves being on stage and enjoys showcasing their talents for the crowd by showing off their own personal, unique styles of each member.
