Drawing from a variety of influences including atmospheric black metal, post-rock, progressive rock, doom metal, and folk, Hivernal use their repertoire of styles to convey harsh and beautiful imagery found in nature to the listener. Lyrical themes contemplating the violence between Earth and Man are reflected in the tension and resolutions of musical passages, and attempt to reconcile one's place in the chaotic miasma of a collapsing biosphere.
