Hills & Valleys Roots Reggae Band

Hills & Valleys Roots Reggae Band is lead by A. Rahman Njie, who began his music career in Gambia, Africa where he was born. After touring through many countries in Africa, he made his way to France where he was based for awhile. In France he played in different Reggae Festivals, music venues and opened for many big Reggae Artists such as Capleton, Gladiators, Israel Vibration, Max Romeo, Anthony B, Big Youth, Alpha Blondy, and Tiken Jah Fakoly. While based in France, Rahman toured all over Europe in Germany, Holland, England, Sweden, Italy and other countries. Before coming to the US, Rahman toured Gambia with the Back To Africa Foundation, (a Non-Profit Organization that he and his wife, Amynata Njie founded to help Gambian children in need, through Music, Arts, and Culture.) in November and December of 2012/2013. Now living in Madison, NH Rahman created the Hills & Valleys Roots Reggae Band and is excited to share Reggae with the people of Mt. Washington Valley and beyond!!
