Bio
Gabe Schillman was born in Flint, MI in 1981 to a rough family situation. He turned to art early on to cope with family addiction, divorce, and abandonment. His drawings earned him a full ride scholarship to the prestigious arts school, Interlochen Center for the Arts, where he was there introduced to creating music. in his early teens, he started a band that quickly signed with 'School House Records' out of Grand Rapids, MI. After recording a 5 song EP with legendary guitar player/ producer writer, Barry Blair (Audio Adrenaline), Nashville called. 13 years in Nashville, TN writing and performing under the labels 'Little Chuckie Records' and Lunacy Records earned him several notable accomplishments including radio play, national shows, product endorsements, and multiple songwriting credits. After making the decision to preserve family, Gabe Schillman left Nashville and moved back to Michigan. There, he opened the wildly popular 'Studio 37 Arts & Culture Center' where he teaches young artists to play guitar, play in a band, paint, and many other arts activities. Additionally, the studio hosts intimate live performances from local performers and artists. Gabe Schillman continues to write music and perform with commercial writing credits as well as recent performances at many local venues and a feature on WYCE 88.1
