 Hailing from the Big Dam neighborhood in Andrews, SC, standing 5’2 but profoundly embodying the form of a mustard seed is Princess Faiithe Ikerria, professionally known as Faiithe. Since her early adolescent love for hip hop, she’s always felt that her middle name suited her better because it represents her faith in not only God, but courage within herself and all of life’s tribulations, and lastly, her faith in bringing lyricism back in hip hop.Music has always been a passion for Faiithe since childhood, she would spend years writing songs but never recorded in an actual studio. Her talents were first noticed when a mutual friend introduced her to Deejay Westside in Atlanta, GA. He would invite her to observe his artist during their studio sessions and it inspired her to break out of her shell and release the lyrics that were locked in her notepad and her natural talent shined through. Over the next few years, Faiithe perfected her craft in songwriting, recording and performing to become one of South Carolina’s most energetic and lyrical artist that can hold her own in a male dominant field,“ My purpose inspires me. I want the world to be better and I feel like music plays a part in that. Part of the reason I loved Michael [Jackson] so much was because he subconsciously, [and] subliminally, preached unity in his music. It just wasn’t for one color . It was for everyone. When you rewatch old performances, everyone no matter the color came to watch him perform. That’s what I want. I want people to not see color. Just unity. My grandmother used to inspire me as well before she passed. I only wish to be just as much of a woman that she was. If you knew her, you truly loved her. She was always there. And she’s still with me. Pushing me. Reminding me to have faith, and keep going. “After years of perfecting her craft, Faiithe started to create social media content including covers of well-known songs every Sunday. Her series became so anticipated, her fans would wait all week for the release, and through her consistency, Faiithe on Sundays was born. Faiithe on Sundays became a weekly segment to exert her talents to the world while building her fan base. In late 2021 she released a single entitled “Take Sum’n” that she performed across the Carolinas followed by “No Sentimentals” covering one of her idols Nicki Minaj. The fire was lit and there was no going back. In February 2022, Faiithe traveled to NYC to Empire Records headquarter studio to meet with A&R Bobby Fisher and it opened her eyes to another side of the industry. With her newly energized spirit and expertise from the pros, Faiithe’s newest single “BOP S#!T” is set to release summer of 2022.
