Elected Kings

Elected Kings was established in February of 2014 by singer
songwriters, Alfi Alvarez and Andrew Greenspan in Nyack, NY. Alfi,
being a graduate from Berklee College of Music, and Andrew, a
student from the Institute of Audio Research, they pooled together
their creative talents to create songs that are listenable, catchy,
commercial and yet different, unique and vivid. Elected Kings
consisted of Andrew on keys and vocals, Alfi on guitar and vocals
and Jimmy Linear on drums.

After much local success and more performance opportunities
knocking on the door, Jimmy opted out of the rapidly growing
project. Alfi then took in neighborhood friend and classmate from
Berklee, Timmy Sorbs, to fill the position as well as double on vocals.
Soon after, high school friend, Kevin Petty joined on bass doubling
on vocals. With the songs Alfi and Andrew had been brainstorming
on, the band chose a handful of their favorites as well as the crowd’s
favorites, and recorded their debut self-titled EP. Through much
hard work in such a short period of time, (promoting, fan
interaction, recording, rehearsing and performing), Elected Kings has
generated a sustainable and eager following in the NY area. People
characterize their music as modern alternative rock with nuances
from classic artists such as, The Eagles and Led Zeppelin along with
the modern under-tones of Kings of Leon, Imagine Dragons and The
Fray. No song on their EP is alike as they all express a different story,
mood and theme, but share the same musicianship and sound from
them as a unified band. The world can expect more from Elected
Kings.
