""Love is the Way" of Duke Bojadziev at Ohrid Summer"

Ohrid, 2 August 2011 (MIA) - The Ilinden evening of Ohrid Summer Festival is reserved for the Macedonian premiere of project "Love is the Way" of renowned composed and pianist Duke Bojadziev.

Ohrid Summer musical selector Gordana Josifova-Nedelkovska said the enormous success at the premiere in New York's Carnegie Hall on April 16 justified the project's inclusion in the festival's program.

"The project includes the Macedonian Philharmonic Chamber Orchestra under the baton of Sasa Nikolovski-Gjumar, a chamber choir, many soloists, poetry, all in all a complex and unique event", said Josifova-Nedelkovska.

Bojadziev voiced satisfaction that the entire project team has come together in Ohrid.

"It is a combination of authentic, classical, jazz music, an eclectic form interwoven with 13-century Rumi poetry, as well as works by Macedonian poets Andreevski, Miladinov, Todorovski. The project is a mix of Macedonians and foreigners coming from Prague, Zurich, Los Angeles, Vienna...", he added.

Renowned Armenian soloist on oud, Ara Dinkjian said that Bojadziev's project united people and cultures, a collaboration celebrating music.

"We share, we celebrate something that is common, but at the same time emphasizing particularities. Aside from the fact about the beauty of the music he creates, Duke's project also presents his personal particularity, which makes me even happier to be part of it", stressed Dinkjian.

The program includes music from album "Love is the Way", scores from films "Shadows" of Milco Mancevski and "The War is Over" of Mitko Panov, as well as several pieces inspired by Ohrid. - MIA

"Duke Bojadziev, the Composer that brings alive the classical world"

Composer, producer and performer, Duke Bojadziev (a.k.a. Duke B) has a deep love for classical music and eventually became one of the most influential artists in New York. His interest in composition by capturing the perfect artistic moments has led to many appearances in concerts, film works and tv shows.
“Every project has certainly different requirements. Usually the goal of the composer is always to enhance the visuals but not overpower them, while satisfying the taste and the liking of the director or the producer of the project. The music, or rather say the sound, has a purpose to give an emotional depth and experience to the visuals. Giving an emotional depth to a picture is a very sensitive process and I am always trying to carefully handle the balance between them.” - Prishtina Press
