Deep in the mountains and hollers of Harlan County runs a road that, if it could talk, would send shivers up your spine…Highway 1601. Steeped in stories of murder, drugs and the agonies of life, this road has produced a group of southern bred men that have lived their own stories. DM and the 1601s front man is no stranger to performance. Dustin Middleton has shared a stage with Billy Currington, Tyler Childers, Joe Diffie, John Michael Montgomery, Bobby Osborne and Ward Davis. Dustin brings rich vocals that leave you wanting more. Lead guitarist Jamie Stewart adds blazing guitar licks, making them his own. Paul Nolan lends a talented hand at rhythm, on drums and bassist Kyle Wynn fills the gap with heart punching bass.
Dustin’s vocals and he and Jamie’s collaborations have been featured on the FX TV series, Justified. The talent these cousins share is evident in their songs, especially in the many written by Kyle that seem to place them in their own genre.
