DJ EDDIE FIELDS, 'purveyor of deep & hype feel good music.'

My love for music has always been there, even before I started dj'ing. It was partially due to my Dad's record collection, the radio being on rock & soul stations, & house music radio shows too. Lately, I've had several successful gigs at bars, lounges, & private parties too. I, more often than not, have people come up to me to compliment me on my music after my sets. I do my very best to give my crowd the music they want. I had my own residency at a bar a few months back but I quit because I was being asked to play music I hated & wasn't proud of. Although the boss said, "it was sick how many people were asking to hear me DJ," I still chose to end my residency there to seek a DJ job where I could play the genres I enjoy.
I enjoy different types of music. I like the hardcore, to the deep, hypnotic, mellow stuff. I like the complex, whether lyrically or musically, to the simple. I don't play predictable, bubble gum pop music though. I try to keep the cheesy stuff out of my mix.
For me, music is therapy because it gives me an escape from the negativity in my mind. I get lost in the music & the happy feelings it brings. I try to give a good balance between the two, but I mainly just focus on playing great music from the House, Hip-Hop, & Soul Genres.
