Bio

Diquan Eugene was born March 28 th , 1994 to April and David Williams of Ramseur, NC. Diquan’s dad surrounded him with various styles of rap music including 2pac, The Notorious B.I.G.,Snoop Dogg, DMX, Jay-Z, and Nas. Diquan had an instant ear for a sound he would proclaim love forever. Growing up at his grandmother’s, he was influenced and challenged by older cousins to shoot hoops, play video games, explore rap lyrics and even “freestyle.”

The more Diquan began to rap, the more he wanted to learn about music. He saved his allowance money to purchase CDs at F.Y.E. in Randolph Mall. His grandmother gave him a karaoke machine which changed everything. From that day forward Diquan started recording himself and knew being a musician was his dream. This was the beginning of his infinite and heartfelt passion for music.

In 2005, Diquan’s father was sentenced to a North Carolina Correctional Facility for 38-42 months. During this time, Diquan grew up early. He took on many tasks helping his mother and younger sister, K’yria. Starting in middle school through high school, while learning about sex and different drugs, Diquan took on the hobby of songwriting and poetry. By 2010 he joined Mightier Than The Sword, owned and operated by Ty Bru. Through the label, he would network among other artists on the roster. He did shows throughout the Triad and learn ways to advance in the industry. While a junior in high school, he released his first project, titled “Pure Imagination” under the name DWilliams.

In 2012, Diquane Eugene signed a one year mixtape deal with Medley Records further releasing “Thank My Dreams.” After some label difficulties, Diquan and Medley Records parted ways. Diquan started his own movement called “daydreaming,” and he would speak to those who rode along his journeys as if they were daydreamers. The movement became Daydreamers Music group (DMG) cofounded by best friend and head producer Jeremy Faglier aka JBryant.

In 2015 Diquan released two tapes powered by DMG, “Nobody Cares” and “Nspired.” Both tapes reached over 60K plays. Diquan made his way to distributing his music to different platforms including iTunes, Spotify, Spinrilla, Soundcloud, Livemixtapes, and MyMixtapes.
