"VIDEO: DAY PESOS – NO FLEX ZONE"

No Flex Zone? Well it seems like Day Pesos didn’t get the memo as he flexes all over the Mike Will produced track. From the beginning the New York rapper goes straight in on the song, and doesn’t show one weak moment. - musiconthedot.com

"Day Pesos x Tunnel Vision (Official Mixtape)"

South-side Jamaica Queens’ own Day Pesos has been featured many times on this blog so it’s no surprise we’re back with his latest work! The gifted artist dropped several tracks earlier this year to prep for his major mixtape that recently just dropped! Entitled Tunnel Vision, the New York native has features with Elle Varner, Flwhy, Dub and Prince Carter. The production on this mixtape is definitely notable because even the popular producer aarab Musik had to lay a few productions down on this project. Check out the mixtape below, let us know what you think! - http://productofsociety.org/2014/07/16/day-pesos-x-tunnel-vision-official-mixtape/

Bio

Queens
Native Dayvaun High born on January 9th 1992 started his humble
beginnings in the notorious streets of Southside Jamaica Queens. His
father a renowned member of the Supreme Team known throughout Queens
as "RED" was Incarcerated during Dayvaun's early ages and
his mother suffered from a severe cocaine addiction leaving his
grandmother as primary caretaker during his youth. Dayvaun largely
attributes him staying on a positive path to his grandmother who was
a mother figure for many throughout the neigborhood. Emotionally torn
by her death Dayvaun was forced to be a man before most of his peers
with no parental guidance Dayvaun was exposed to a life many couldn't
fathom. There was a myriad of reasons to fall to the streets due to
such severe circumstance but instead he picked up the pen and began
to put his thoughts into music. This process merely started as a way
to express his emotions but when close friends and other queens
natives heard his music it was apparent that he had a gift and it was
time to let the world know his story. This is when the artist known
as "Day Pesos" emerged combining his unique life story with
flows from his very favorite artists Jay-z and queens legends 50 cent
and Nasir Jones which you can hear in singles 02'50, Balmain music
and Pick a Lane. It is apparent in his debut project Tunnel Vision
that he is one of the most prominent artists out of Queens and
according to Audiomack one of the most prominent artist in New York
City. Finishing Top Ten on the first day of the projects release
amongst steep competition such as Migos, Young Thug, Lil Durk. Day
Pesos is a perfect example of NOT letting a dream get deferred, being
a positive influence for his generation and staying dedicated to a
dream. Here you can listen to the story of him and his crew Double Up
on how it is growing up in the streets of Southside Jamaica
Queens!!!!
