Halloween 2018 is officially behind us, but that doesn’t have to mean spooky season is. Go see Halloween in theatres, go visit a haunted house, maybe buy some discounted candy, but keep it spooky! Another way to that is by jumping into Virginia rapper DANVHEFNER’s new impressive EP, Speak Of The Devil.
Clocking in at 7 songs, Speak Of The Devil is a small, but a fulfilling appetizer of HEFNER’s abilities. Although sticking to a central theme, the project rarely gets stale, as each song provides a different look into HEF as an artist. On, “Die Alone,” he utilizes his raspy voice knack for infectious melodies to create probably the best song on the EP, maybe even in general, while on, “Not Surprised,” he opts for the more lyrical, self-reflective side of things.
In general, Speak Of The Devil is a surprise standout EP of the week and makes DANVHEFNER an immediate artist to watch. Check it out below. - ELEVATOR

Following up his surprise EP “Speak Of The Devil” released Halloween, Virginia artist DanVHefner drops his first track of 2019. Floating over a chill and mesmerising Slndrmann-produced beat, his raps reflect on past choices, rapping on the chorus, “had to make the same mistakes to learn my place, I had to make a play to see a bit of change, one bad hoe she loco, Han Solo with the pistol.” This song has a fun bounce too. - RESPECT MAG

Bio
Born to parents who immigrated from Bolivia, rapper DanVHefner was raised in Northern Virginia. Dan grew up listening to Selena Quintanilla, Sade, Pink Floyd and Tupac Shakur, as well as Celia Cruz. He grew up loving music but wouldn't release and record his own until 2014 releasing his first project and joining online music collective Chptr Blak soon after. July of that year Dan released his first music video dropping a visual for his Danny the Lawnmower produced track “Stupid” (featuring Jos3ph) and following that up with Tobi created anime visuals for “My Summer” and “We Know” (featuring PINKLIPBASTARD).
In 2015 he also released "Nocturnal” a project that features his breakout song “UYY” (pronounced Uu we). After a hiatus he would come back strong in 2018 releasing a MoshPit DMV directed video for “UYY” in July after it amassed an impressive 2 million SoundCloud streams earlier that same month. In October he would release a surprise track featuring Project Pat entitled “Believer” before closing the year off in a definitive fashion with “Speak Of The Devil” an ominous project released on Halloween. DanVHefner is currently working on a sequel project titled “Speak Of The Devil II” set to release later this year
