Gospel Artist Costie Payne Releases First Single “Grace and Love”
from his Forthcoming Project
"Breakthrough"
Atlanta, Georgia (February, 2016) – Gospel artist, Costie Payne has released his first single off of his forthcoming album, “The Breakthrough”. The single, “Grace and Love”, debuted January 26, 2016 and was released on his own label, WAD, with worldwide digital distribution through Universal Music Group Distribution/INgrooves/LRT. "Grace and Love" takes influence of his faith-based experiences in Japan as well as experiences in the portion of his life prior to focusing on Gospel.
“The Good News Music Movement and I are committed to our mission of changing and saving lives through music,” says Payne. “These roots have inspired me to travel around the world and now I am hoping to inspire people through my personal testimonies of God’s goodness and what He’s done in my life.”
As a faith-based businessman, Costie knew that his calling extended beyond the secular world. His passion for music has evolved and constantly shows in the way he expresses others to enjoy Christ through song. Since living in Japan, Payne has been working on a vision to introduce gospel artists, television programs and radio stations to the Japanese audience while, in turn, sharing the gospel from Japanese culture with the American audience he aims to reach.
“By adding a few radio shows from the states to some of the key stations in Japan and bringing over Gospel artists from the states to hold Gospel workshops, these Japanese choirs have an opportunity to be seen and heard and share the gospel.”
"The Breakthrough" project is written and produced in part by Payne, along with notable names in Gospel such as Alex Smith of Narrow Street Music and two tracks produced by Grammy and Emmy Award Winning producer, Ben Paris. "Grace and Love" gives listeners a sample of the whole album by incorporating a lot of Payne's inspiration and passion for the spread of the gospel through music. The album will also feature bonus tracks like “Never Ask Why.” "The Breakthrough" will be available for purchase Summer 2016, but “Grace and Love” and “Never Ask Why” are now available wherever digital downloads are sold. The "Good News Music Movement" and I are committed to our mission: CHANGING AND SAVING LIVES THROUGH MUSIC. I am just a humble servant of God's, born and raised in Magnolia, Arkansas whose singing career was launched in the choir. Those roots have allowed me to travel around the world and now I am hoping to INSPIRE people through my personal testimonies of God’s goodness and what He’s done in my life. My new single “Grace and Love” is just that! It's a reflection of my journey coming into my BREAKTHROUGH, running towards my purpose and not away from it, and being thankful for the little things that we sometimes seem to take for granted. Since 1993, I've been running from this project and surrendering to God's will. I was given a prophetic word from Prophet Todd Hall. His words: “God said that you could have already been where you’ve dreamed of being but HE doesn’t want you to do it YOUR way, He wants you to do it His way and you are going to write a book one day telling the story of how God changed your life.” I knew what he was saying was real because that seed was already planted in my heart, but out of fear and disobedience I ran from it. When I moved to LA, I was given the same prophetic words from Pastor White, and again I ignored it and kept running. I thought because of the life that I was living, there was no way God could use me. I thought that I had to be perfect, and that I was beyond saving. So, I continued to live my life in disobedience and rebelliousness. Pastor White told me that God was going to place me "UNDER ARREST” to get my attention. I had no idea what that meant. Now, it makes sense. When I was led to Japan, this was my “solitary confinement” I was separated from my comfort zone, friends, family, culture, etc… And when my disobedience and rebelliousness drove me to the lowest point of my life, there was no where I could run and no one else I could turn to but GOD. Now, instead of running from HIM, I had to run to HIM and learn to trust him whole heartedly, and had it not been for His grace, love, and favor, I would have self-destructed.
Maybe there's someone that feels they're beyond saving or like they're at the point of no return. I want to let them know that there is no such place. As long as you have breath, you have a choice and something to be thankful for. If God can take someone like me, turn my life around, and place me on a platform to inspire others. He can use them too to do amazing things for His kingdom.
I choose to STAND OUT boldly and NOT be conformed to the box that the world may try to place me in. I am not a CROSSOVER artist… I am an artist prepared to take the CROSS over.Band Members
