Bio
Corinne Thurstan and Bill Groth first played together in several area Big Bands and discovered a common love for the American Songbook, great players and singers, the music of jazz great Chick Corea, and other areas of shared appreciation. Together, they perform a broad spectrum of classic songs and can add 3, 4 or more players to suit the occasion and setting. Bil Groth, a classically trained pianist, performs professionally with many different groups in connecticut, teaches, and has recorded 2 solo albums; The Piano and the Spiritual, and an album of standards about to be released. Corinne Thurstan sings with several wonderful Big Bands based in CT and RI. She has studied classical singing and jazz for many years, and enjoys learning more of the many timeless, classic songs.Listen to our song samples, and click on our links to hear some of our individual projects.
