There's no shortage of talent in the Stroudsburg area, and Chris Dela Cruz is proof of that. Chris hails from Saylorsburg, PA, and is a current student at East Stroudsburg University. However, Chris is a student and a talented musician who is currently on tour in the local area. He is delivering his version of "singer-songwriter psychedelic indie rock with jazz elements" to our town.
Chris has been making music since 2014 and does not show any signs of stopping. Recently releasing his new 11-track debut album "Life is A Day." When asked about the name of his album Chris replied that the name is "meant to embody the major theme, which is the impact of time on our life experiences. It delivers a reality in which life goes by fast and figuratively feels like a day". Chris also went on to add that it is at the same time "a hopeful message to seize the day. Like a remix of 'you only live once". Much like his album name, Chris' inspiration comes from simply living life as well, primarily the X-factors that come with it. He describes this system as being an "overall lengthy process...but whenever I find it, I have a lot of fun creating and pouring my heart into my songs... every time I've tried to force myself to write [music], I typically find it difficult to produce something I'm satisfied with". Chris' music is a reflection of the reality he has lived. Chris Dela Cruz is an indie act based out of the Poconos, Pennsylvania. Dela Cruz writes introspective lyrics backed by psych-indie rock with jazz elements. His debut 11-song concept album released in October of 2021 supported by a run of shows across PA, NY, and NJ.
