Chris Salyer & The Shooters

Chris
Salyer & The Shooters formed in early 2015 in Bowling Green, OH.
Christopher Salyer (vocals/rhythm guitar), Ben Miller (pedal
steel/electric guitar/background vocals), Dave Hamblin (bass guitar),
and Steve Doolittle (drums) came together to form a powerful, melodic
band that captivates both country and southern rock listeners. Since
forming, the band hit the road and built a following that would later
land them opening slots for National Recording Artists Red Wanting
Blue and Jackson Taylor & The Sinners.

In
the summer of 2015, Chris Salyer & The Shooters landed a monthly
residency at Doc Holiday's Saloon in Bowling Green, OH. On July 3rd,
Chris Salyer & The Shooters opened for National Recording Artist
Red Wanting Blue at the outdoor fourth of July celebration at
Fountain Square in Cincinnati, OH in front of thousands of listeners.
In the fall of 2015, Chris Salyer & The Shooters performed a PBS
televised special at the historic Clazel Theater where they once
again opened for Red Wanting Blue. In the fall of 2015, Chris Salyer
& The Shooters also had the privilege of opening for honky tonk
heroes Jackson Taylor & the Sinners.

Chris
Salyer is a weathered singer/songwriter that Pizza Box Reviews
describes as “the kind of guy you can't stop watching because he's
that kind of performer”. The Sentinel Tribune describes Chris's
lyrics as “diverse and heartfelt”. Chris has also had recent
success as a solo artist performing showcases at 2015 SXSW in Austin,
TX and being named runner up in the 2015 Country Star Playoffs.


Chris Salyer & the Shooters have done a handful of on-air
interviews and live performances. Their song “hell of a woman”
and “cocaine blues” have both received many spins on Internet
Radio. Chris Salyer & The Shooters plan to enter the studio to
record their debut full length in 2016.
