Bio
Raw elements of punk and classic rock merge with intelligent songwriting in the formation of Caulfield’s Radio.
The four-man group derives its name from JD Salinger’s Catcher In The Rye, and creates a dynamic and tension-filled sound that reflects the angst and rebellion found in the classic novel.
Fronted by Lancaster-area songwriter and guitarist Clint Hibshman (Burning McGuinness, The Last Time), Caulfield’s Radio finds its voice in songs of morality and self-redemption. Influenced equally by the likes of John Prine and Robert Johnson, Clint Hibshman pens lyrics and melodies that endure.
Adding a touch of grunge and jazz fusion to the group is Clint’s younger brother and guitarist Chad Hibshman (The Last Time), weaving melodic accents over his brother’s creations. A spectrum of influences that include funk, hard rock and Cuban rhythms only begin to define what percussionist Bryan Ross (General Eclectic, Sloth Love Chunk) brings to the group. Intricate and heavy hitting tempos from Ross create depth for bassist Ryan Phillips, who finds space for a thumping and driving low end.
