Captain Coopersmith is a multigenre rock band hailing from the northwest suburbs of Chicago. Formed from highschool friends, Thomas Glaviano, Michael McAvoy and Austin Williams, their mission is to create multiple styles while maintaining the wholesome sound of the group. After the release of the self titles debut "Captain Coopersmith", they made it their mission to play some of Chicagos most prestigious local venues such as The House of Blues, Metro, The Cubby Bear, Double Door and Martyrs. After a hard couple years of shows, they hit the studio again for their second full length release "Friend of the Family". Through some minor lineup changes they had a rough year in 2017, but came back with their most ambitious releases to date, "Dance House E.P". To start 2019 the band is hard at work on writing a third full length album and are ready to take the stage again for what they hope to be their most successful year yet!
