Bio
One Wing is a band made up of three students from Northwestern Pennsylvania. Split apart by 200 miles of highway and country road, members Josie Noyes, Tyler Skarzenski, and Brandon Seliga have faced many challenges on their journey. One of these challenges was the creation of their upcoming debut album "Lessons From the Roadside" which was written, recorded, and produced almost entirely remotely! This is because guitarist and songwriter Tyler Skarzenski is a student at the California University of Pennsylvania, 200 miles south of the band's hometown of Erie. Luckily both Tyler Skarzenski and Brandon Seliga are audio engineers and were able to accomplish their goal of remotely producing this album.
Distance isn't the only challenge these musicians have faced however. Tyler faced tragedy when he was 14 years old. While at his friend's camp, he was riding passenger in an ATV when it flipped going over 50MPH. This caused it to roll over his leg, nearly killing him. After losing a nearly lethal amount of blood, he was taken to the hospital and his leg was amputated. Over the next few years, he was bedridden and could barely walk without extreme pain. He took this time to learn and play guitar, and to write lyrics. This event changed his life and is what made him a musician. After meeting Brandon, and later Josie, the three of them formed a band that could translate Tyler's feelings, as well as the other members', to an audience.
