"Brothers & Friends" band members:

Tom “Peck” Pecoraro  - Lead Guitar / Founding Member / Band manager -

Tommy got his hands on his first guitar in 1965
and has been hooked ever since. He began his career in a garage band,
“Ashbury Haight” (named after two street signs found in the garage). His
love and fervor for guitar, has cultivated him into the talented
musician you see today. Prior to forming “Brother and Friends”, Tommy
spent 18 years performing with one of Long Island’s best bands, “The
Stanton Anderson Band”.

Steve Pincus - Lead Vocals - Originally from Queens, NY, Steve moved to
Long Island at a young age where he met Tommy and Billy. All three shared a passion for Southern / Classic Rock and began a friendship / musical career which has lasted through to today
with “Brother and Friends”. Steve has been a lead vocalist for several
bands performing throughout NY.
John Mangione “Johnny Sax”Saxophone, Flute & Guitar - Johnny is a professional musician performing all over Long Island with his jazz quartet. Johnny is also the co-founder of a foundation to give the gift of music back to children, “Ramona’s Gift to Music”.

Michael Ballin - Electric Violin, Vocals & Percussion - Michael is a session and studio musician as well as composer and producer. Classically trained throughout his formative years and blessed with “near pitch” and an “ear” for music, Michael enjoys playing the blues, classic and southern rock. In the late 70’s, as a member of “Nothing yet”, a classic southern rock band, he opened for “The Good Rats.” He now plays with “BUOY 34.” In 2018, “BUOY 34” opened for the “Southern Rock Revival,” featuring: “Marshall Tucker”, “Charlie Daniels”, and “The Outlaws”.

William Smith - Drummer - From
Bethpage, NY, Billy went to Plainedge High School with Tommy and Steve.
He started playing drums at 15, with both musicians, in “Ashbury Haight”
which later became “The Hank Stevenson Band”.

Jamie Dougherty -
Bass & Vocals - Has toured the U.S. and is a veteran of the 70’s
& 80’s NYC nightclub scene. His music compositions have been aired
on network TV including SNL. He most recently played with “Beyond the
Bridge” and the “Bad Love” Eric Clapton Band. Also, he’s currently
playing bass with the “Continuum” Jazz quartet.

Rich Curtin -
Rhythm Guitar Richie is a lifelong Marshall Tucker fan. Influenced by
the classic rock of the 60’s and 70’s, he began his musical career by
emulating influential guitarists of that time. He has a passion for live
music and has performed with various bands throughout the metro area.

Brothers & Friends performs the music of The Marshall Tucker Band.                                                  The Marshall Tucker Band is an American rock band from Spartanburg,
South Carolina noted for incorporating blues, country and jazz into its
eclectic sound, novel for its time, and remains unique in its own today.
The Marshall Tucker Band helped establish the Southern rock genre in
the early 1970’s. The “Marshall Tucker” in the bands name does not refer
to a band member, but rather a blind piano tuner from Columbia, South
Carolina. The original lineup of the Marshall Tucker Band, formed in
1972, included lead guitarist, steel guitarist, vocalist, and primary
song writer Toy Caldwell, lead vocalist Doug Gray, keyboard player,
saxophone player, and flautist Jerry Eubanks, rhythm guitarist George
McCorkle, drummer Paul Riddle, and bassist Tommy Caldwell. They signed
with Capricorn Records and in 1973 released their first LP, The Marshall
Tucker band.
