Break the Mare

Formed in 2014, Break the Mare is an American Metal/Southern Metal band hailing from Williston, SC.  The band is comprised of several former members of Soul Made Visible (Long Island, NY), Anger Management (Beech Island, SC) and Knowface (Williston, SC).

The group fuses a blend of fierce rhythms,brutal riffs and punishing breakdowns with vocals that range from melodic hooks to gutteral growls and primal screams.  BTM is constantly producing new material and adding new elements to their sound, refusing to be categorized into just a single sub-genre of metal.  Always striving to give their fans an amazing live experience, the band has developed an energetic stage show to match their music.

With combined decades of industry experience, members of Break the Mare have performed on the Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival, Jagermeister Music Tour, CMJ Music Festival and have shared the stage with major label and national touring acts such as Disturbed, All That Remains, Trivium, Filter, Ill Nino, Soulfly, Emmure, Bloodsimple, Throwdown, Nothingface, God Forbid, Flaw, Otep and 40 Below Summer.

2015 promises to be a huge year for Break the Mare, as they continue to build their local and regional fanbase at a feverish pace, performing live as often as possible and consistently expanding their reach to outlying regions and markets.  They are currently preparing to enter the studio to record their debut release, and are ready to take the world by storm.
