"BLAHSUM // Little Blue"

I hope all y’all took the opportunity to tilt your head back and gaze past the horizon tonight. If you were one of those lucky people, then you saw the dude in the moon giving you a cool guy thumbs up because you were receiving oral sex on the roof of your crib. After you bust and kick her (or him) off the the building, you probably had the urge to listen to some dope shit and proceeded to spark a blunt and hop on Blahsum’s BandCamp to listen to their first full-moon release, LITTLE BLUE, from their ‘American Werewolves in Chinatown’ series (unofficial title.)

Ay, start paying attention to the celestial calendar, because everytime a full-moon is in the sky, NYC’s own Blahsum will release an original track.

If you missed today’s joint, you can listen to it right here.

Blahsum is an Apocalyptic Dystopian Punk Rap Noiz band from Chinatown, NYC, consisting of Greta Garbo and Johnny Rotten Seed. The duo released their first EP, DEM01 on 31 July 2014 via their BandCamp digital download name-your-own-price. AND ON THE REAL, it’s more worthy than anything you ever used those $15 iTunes gift cards on. They also have a couple well produced music videos on their site, blahsum.com or by performing a quick YouTube search.

Big shouts to Blahsum for doing something new in an era oversaturated with dollar worship. Check back this weekend for an exclusive interview with the duo. - Peace Corpse

Bio

BLAHSUM -  Apocalyptic dystopian punk rap noiz duo with a live backing band based out of Chinatown NYC.

A synthesis of music, performance and video art that exposes the surveillance, celebrity obsessed, sellout culture we consume. A rare combination of some real smart, low-brow shit drawing heavily from the influences of Rage Against the Machine, The Beastie Boys, and Das Racist, as well as, from contemporaries like Rick Ross and Young Thug. The band landed a weekly summer residency throughout college at a downtown Cafe. This gave them the chance to experiment with live visuals, hone their performance skills, and discover their sound: a cynical, tongue in cheek, jokey yet, avant-garde style, that somehow manages to be digestible.

In an age where it seems everyone is a rapper, these fukbois stand out and  Blahsum's internet following is steadily blooming.
