Hailing from a tiny magical place called Black Gold Kentucky, Vincent Langdon, Steven Hunt and Beau Kelley are Ready to Rock!
They have grown up watching their heroes from Southern Kentucky, Black Stone Cherry, make their way into careers in music, as local bands like Cage the Elephant succeed bringing their brands of proud Kentucky rock music to the wider world.
In spring of 2013 the very young teenagers started jamming, then writing and practicing, learning covers, but quickly developing original songs and their own vibe, honed through attending every live performance opportunity the region affords, playing open mic nights at clubs, armory style and community shows for rockers and live music fans of all ages and stripes.
Modeling their favorite successful local band, Black Stone Cherry they enlisted with David Barrick studios in Glasgow Kentucky who recorded Black Stone Cherry’s first album and the Kentucky Headhunters among many other successful acts.
In 2016 Barrick produced their first excellent LP “Dreams” and they have plans to follow-up with more studio music, live performances, videos and especially focusing on working on their craft as musicians and a team driven rock band, so that when their time comes, and we are confident it will – Black Gold will be ready to join the roster of Kentucky artists representing their people and arts to the world!
