"Postmodern Jukebox @ Wheelans"

"From the moment Drue Davis walks on stage, the atmosphere is set and we are transported back to the days of dance halls and big bands. Davis is suave, sophisticated, effortlessly cool and instantly likable...There are several highlights during the night however. One such moment occurs when master of ceremonies Drue Davis takes to the mic to deliver a suave motown version of Nickelback’s ,How You Remind Me, causing the crowd to go wild". - www.krank.ie

Bio

Drue Davis is a highly
accomplished producer and songwriter who was born and raised in Brooklyn, New
York. As a child, Drue was fascinated by a variety of genres of music, from the
radio’s Top 40 hits to the crackling vinyl sounds of Motown and James Brown. He
also loved the smooth lyrics and memorable beats from the emerging sound of Hip
Hop.

 As the MC for the
crew, Red Clay, Drue became known for his unique style, incredible beats, and flair
for blending the early days of hip hop music with new modern styles. A talented
entertainer, Drue was able to give memorable live performances in venues which
included places like CBGB’s and SOB’s, opening up for the likes of Erykah Badu,
Common, and Talib Kweli.

 After years of
solely focusing on indie Hip Hop, Drue started writing, vocal arranging, and
producing for artists. He also started producing songs for television shows and
commercials. After a few months, Drue’s music landed on several highly rated
cable reality shows and broadcast sport shows. He began writing more music,
exploring more personal topics and issues. Using his MPC2000xl and his keyboard,
he decided to embark on a musical journey, one that would forever change him.

This year, Drue has been chosen to be emcee and lead male singer for Scott Bradlee's, Postmodern Jukebox. In addition, he has
released his first project entitled Magic
Man and the Beat Machine,
encompassing sounds from the soulfulness of R&B,
the pulsating drive of rock, and the raw boom bap of hip hop.
Backed by a 6 piece band
during live performances, he is sure to touch souls in his own unique, soulful
way.
