The Encounter Project

The Encounter Project was born in 2009 from a church praise and worship band. They grew close, not only through the love of music, but also their common interest in community service. Jacob is a firefighter in Dripping Springs. Bryan, Robin, and Cullen were all lifeguards. They had so much fun playing together and enjoyed performing their secular originals and covers, that they began taking gigs at various bars, private parties, and fundraisers. Jacob Taylor Wade, 24, fronts the band with vocals, rhythm guitar, and harmonica, and writes most of their originals. Bryan Chenault, 23, plays lead guitar and is a contributing songwriter.
