Alethia is a five-piece melodic metalcore act from the Northwest suburbs of Chicago. Combining powerful vocals and strong lyrics with heavy, melodic riffs, Alethia brings a fresh, modern style of honest metalcore to a progressing scene.
Started in 2013 as a solo project by vocalist Jake Farhang, Alethia quickly gained momentum and members and released their debut EP, “Lykaion Falls” in 2014, followed by their single, “The Resilient” in 2016. Following several lineup changes in the early years of the band, Alethia now consists of guitarists James Troye and Zach Kosmicki, bassist Jake Bailey, drummer Danny Springer, and vocalist Jake Farhang.
In early 2017 Alethia began to work on their second EP, “The Spirits Within”, recorded at vocalist Jake Farhang's home studio. “The Spirits Within” was released in October 2017 and showcases Alethia’s progression and maturity while delivering honest messages of the issues facing a chaotic world and its people.
