Addie Levy

Addie Levy is a natural born, diverse entertainer straight from the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia.  From a very young age she has shared her talents of music, dance and communication with a wide variety of audience.  At the age of 10, she started her path of learning an instrument and was taught by local musicians the art of Appalachian Old Time, Gospel and Bluegrass music.  She simply fell in love with the “happy music” that was so rich in history, stories, and community encouragement.  She now plays, guitar, mandolin, fiddle, upright bass.

And so a career in music entertainment began at 10 years old.  She joined a youth band and began working seasonally at Dollywood and Gatlinburg.  She enrolled in numerous workshops, music camps, attended local jams, and competed in festival competitions.  She started songwriting and performing in local  theatre , emceeing shows, TV appearances and teaching private lessons to children.    She started a band, Gate 10 and traveled around performing gigs.  She embraced her gifts and used them to create a world of friendships, networking, and not mention an income for herself.

She is 20 years old now and is still on the path that is leading to more and more opportunities to be able to keep traditional music alive and evolving.  The energy and enthusiasm Addie can bring to projects is being sought after by organizations, musicians, businesses, and festivals.
