Malcolm Freeman Johnson aka SERIOU.S. was born in Staten Island, New York in the early 90's to Liberian parents then moved to North Trenton, N.J. where he lived with his father. He spent his early years in poverty and was inspired to write his first rap song at the age of 10. At age 11 he moved to Atlanta, Georgia with his mother and was captivated by the music scene there. At the age of 14, he started writing songs daily with dreams of becoming a successful rapper. At 16, he began developing his talent for the stage by taking acting and modeling classes and SERIOU.S. is now ready to take Atlanta by storm armed with upbeat songs that showcase his vocal skills and songwriting. His sound can be described as golden era hip hop with a southern twist and makes you want to move as much as it makes you think. SERIOU.S. is set to release his debut album in late 2019. Still working and striving everyday to realize his dream at all cost - SERIOU.S. truly lives up to the meaning behind his name - "Sacrifice, Everything, Regardless, If, Others, Underestimating your, Success."
