12 Feet Tall, production company and artist collaborative, is a conglomeration of the ideas of members Ian McTamaney, Matchi McCormick, and Narek Manoukian. The three musicians together work to fill out the landscape of music creation from beginning to end.
Singing/Songwriting is filtered through the lens of folk music, taking inspiration from genre defining artists and twisting it on its head. Through McTamaney’s creative direction and implementation of pop, hip-hop, and soul influences, 12 Feet Tall seeks to stand out from the crowd.
Artistry expands through the creative use of instrumentation and vocal production. McCormick excels in expansive sound design, dispatching new and ingenuitive ways to use software audio manipulation to excite the idea of folk music. Pushing the boundary into a maximalist hyper exaggeration of the genre, blurring lines between the standard and the extrapolation of forefront modern music sound.
Manoukian seeks to reel it in, taking the finalized production from McTamaney and McCormick and adding a level of industry professional polish through technical and creative mixing. The three work in tandem to find a balance between adhering to the principal natures of music expression and setting artist defining sound.
As each member fills a unique and complementary role to the success of the artist collaborative, the development of genre fusion and exciting, fresh sound help to drive their perspective to new heights.
