10 Cents in Oklahoma had a name before it had a sound.
After drummer Brandon's previous successful band split up, he was looking for a new sound under the name 10 Cents in Oklahoma. While hanging out at a local open mic night, he heard singer/guitarist/songwriter Natalie play several original songs. Both were looking to start a folk and blues inspired rock band, and with the help of two other original members, they started playing shows in the Olympia area.
A couple members came and went, then Hunter, 10 cents' bass player, and Donald, the most kick-ass lead guitarist to ever cross 10 cents' path, joined the band, and the 10 Cents we know and love was born!
